General information only

The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces a hollow at the temple, how the causes are told apart, and what treatment costs in time, recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

No substitute for examination

Whether your temple has lost volume or was always shaped that way depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: your face compared with old photographs, the region watched in movement, and the position of the named vessels established on your own anatomy. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a plan made from a website alone is a plan made without information.

Results vary and are not guaranteed

Individual results differ, treated volume changes over months, and no clinician and no website can guarantee an outcome. Any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it. The face continues to change after any treatment, and further treatment may be needed later.

If something is wrong after treatment

If you have had treatment to this region and develop severe or increasing pain, a tense swollen area, spreading redness or fever, blistering or a change in the colour of the skin over the temple, any change in vision, or weakness on one side of the face, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
